CANADA'S NATIONAL VIMY MEMORIAL

This memorial is dedicated to those men of the Canadian Corps who lost their lives during the First World War. It is also a place of commemoration, honour and remembrance for the men of the Canadian Corps that were killed or are missing and have no known grave. The site covers 250 acres in a park like setting and takes in part of the ground the Canadians advanced over on their day of victory on April 9, 1917. This monument has become a national Canadian symbol of achievement and sacrifice.

OUR JOURNEY IN 2019 TO FOLLOW IN THE FOOTSTEPS OF THE HEROES OF HURON IN NORTH-WEST EUROPE IN WORLD WAR I & WORLD WAR II.

Utah Beach

In April of 2019, a group of 7 men made a journey to Europe will the goal of following our Canadians from Juno Beach on the Normandy coast through France, Belgium, the Netherlands and then into Germany. The group consisted of men who were interested in the history of our Canadian fallen, the military history and its significance in our lives today. We also were going to experience the emotions one would feel when you visit the cemeteries and memorials where our young men are honoured and remembered.
