Between the time Private Washington enlisted into the 161st Huron Battalion and him falling ill and passing away was approximately 100 days. There are no files at the National Archives, no attestation papers on file and no records at Veterans Affairs Canada.
He is listed on the Hensall cenotaph and rightly so.
