Private Flintoff enlisted under the War Measures Acr of 1917.
While he was at Camp Petawawa he transferred to the 2nd Artillery Tank Battalion and this was on 
September 30, 1918.
Private Flintoff departed Canada on October 4, 1918 and arrived in England on October 18, 1918.
Private Flintoff contacted influenza while in England and died in the Nightingale Hospital - Cheltinham – AFF. 2nd Southern General Hospital – Bristol from the illness.
He arrived in England on October 18, 1918 and was admitted into hospital on the same day. One week prior to the war ending he died.
